Air traffic controllers (USA)

The Federal Aviation Administration is taking numerous steps to increase the number of air traffic controllers and improve training across the country. As part of our efforts to step up controller hiring, today we opened the application process for the agency's enhanced Air Traffic-Collegiate Training (CTI) Initiative (AT-CTI). 

Approved AT-CTI schools will provide the same comprehensive training curriculum that is currently offered only at the FAA Air Traffic Controller Academy, increasing the pipeline of talent that can go directly to work at air traffic control facilities. We have a lot more work to do, but this initiative gets us closer to our goals.
